KAOLIN CLAY

We chose kaolin clay also known as kaolin China clay, one of the primary ingredients for a range of reasons. Innately absorbent, it is one of the mildest clay’s making it safe for sensitive and easily irritable skin. It is also incredibly versatile, offering a range of powerful properties.

Kaolin clay clings to pore-clogging impurities and helps to detox and clear your pores, whilst being non-comedogenic. While it can be used to purify and detox your pores, it also helps to exfoliate the skin, removing dead, flaky skin cells and also helps to improve the skins elasticity. It is an all-rounder beneficial clay, being so gentle it can help reduce skin irritations such as rashes and bites.

HERBS AND BOTANICALS

For thousands of years, Chinese herbs have been highly effective in not only healing from the inside, but also the outside of our bodies, making them a crucial part of our formula. By combining our experience in Cosmetic Chemistry and Traditional Chinese Medicine, we were able to marry the two in a skincare hero product that enhances the natural beauty we all have.

The traditional Chinese herbs we use are powerful active ingredients such as ginko biloba used to aid in the formation of collagen, burdock root to help fight blemishes and eczema and gotu kola to soothe and fight free radicals. Gotu kola is a miracle herb, prized for its high content of triternene saponin, flavonoids, amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids and phytochemicals – if you’re thinking what are all of these  ? They are your revolutional secret to fighting environmental stressors which cause damage to your skin (resulting in pre-mature ageing), ultimately tightening, firming and reducing fine lines and wrinkles!

To complete our formula we combine dynamic antioxidant rich ingredients such as white tea, pomegranate and kakadu plum to help combat and diminish hyperpigmentation and give your tired, dull skin a boost of Vitamin C and radiance. Hello sunshine!

MY SKIN IS OILY, WILL THIS MASK STILL WORK FOR ME?

Our pink clay mask is suited for specific skin-types, such as those with dyer, combination and normal skin or mature skin. Unlike other clay masks on the market, this mask isn’t a one size-fits-all solution. I HAVE ACNE-PRONE SKIN, CAN I STILL USE THIS MASK?

We don’t recommend using this mask in acne prone areas, however instead, we recommend using our detoxifying clay mask. Be mindful that harsh scrubbing may irritate the skin, so consider avoiding physical exfoliation in acne areas, instead gently wash away the mask. Remember, you can always multi-mask! Even if you have acne-prone areas, you can use our pink clay mask on your drier, dull looking areas to quench your complexion!
